Technical Business Analyst / AI Enablement Business Analyst

Location: Perth, WA (3 days onsite, 2 days remote)

Contract Length: 6 Months

Rate: Up to $1,100 AUD per day

We are seeking an experienced Technical Business Analyst / AI Enablement Business Analyst to join a leading organisation driving AI adoption, process optimisation, and digital transformation initiatives.

This role will play a key part in identifying opportunities to improve business processes through automation and AI, while bridging the gap between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather, analyse, and document business requirements.
  • Create user stories, acceptance criteria, process maps, workflows, and prioritised backlogs.
  • Engage with stakeholders to understand current processes, pain points, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Translate business challenges into clear, actionable requirements and delivery-ready artefacts.
  • Facilitate workshops to define current-state and future-state processes.
  • Identify business processes suitable for automation, optimisation, or AI enablement.
  • Collaborate with business users, IT teams, data specialists, security, governance, and leadership stakeholders.
  • Support initiatives through the full lifecycle, including discovery, design, testing, rollout, measurement, and continuous improvement.
  • Produce high-quality documentation including process maps, reports, decision papers, and user-facing materials.
  • Act as the bridge between business needs and technical implementation teams.

Required Skills & Experience

Strong Business Analysis capability including:

  • Requirements gathering
  • Process mapping
  • User story development
  • Acceptance criteria definition
  • Workflow design
  • Prioritisation techniques

Proven stakeholder management and engagement skills across business and technical teams.

Experience facilitating workshops and driving process improvement initiatives.

Strong communication, documentation, and presentation skills.

Practical, delivery-focused approach with the ability to operate in fast-paced environments.

Nice to Have

Hands-on experience with enterprise AI platforms such as ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, Grok, or similar tools.

Understanding of:

  • Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs)
  • Prompt engineering techniques
  • Responsible AI practices
  • Emerging AI delivery models

Experience identifying and delivering AI use cases across:

  • Document review
  • Summarisation
  • Research
  • Content drafting
  • Analysis and reporting
  • Decision-support workflows

Familiarity with:

  • AI workflow automation
  • Agentic AI concepts
  • Human-in-the-loop controls
  • Exception handling frameworks

Knowledge of enterprise governance, security, privacy, permissions, and responsible AI considerations.

Experience developing AI enablement materials such as:

  • Playbooks
  • Prompt libraries
  • Workflow guides
  • Reusable AI patterns

Previous experience delivering AI, automation, workflow digitisation, or digital transformation programs.
