About the Project
This role supports the delivery of critical Defence infrastructure as part of ACCIONA's involvement in the Australian Naval Infrastructure (ANI) South Australia program. The project operates in a highly regulated Defence environment with strict quality, safety and compliance requirements, supporting Australia's long‑term naval and Defence capability.
About the Opportunity
We are seeking a Senior Project Engineer with experience delivering civil and/or structural scopes to support the successful delivery of Defence infrastructure works. The role is suited to an engineer who enjoys hands‑on involvement in planning, cost control and site delivery while coordinating subcontractors and engaging with design and construction teams.
You will play an integral role in supporting safe, high‑quality delivery outcomes in a fast‑paced and high‑compliance environment.
Key accountabilities
- Support delivery of multidisciplinary scopes across roads, civil utilities and structural works
- Assist with programming and planning activities, including short‑term and look‑ahead planning
- Contribute to cost management, project controls and forecasting activities
- Support subcontractor management, coordination and performance tracking
- Participate in design reviews to ensure constructability, compliance and value for money
- Implement and maintain stringent quality assurance processes aligned with Defence standards
- Contribute to construction methods development and sequencing to optimise cost and time outcomes
- Prepare reports and communicate effectively with project teams and stakeholders
Qualifications & Experience Required
- A tertiary qualification in civil engineering or similar with a minimum 6+ years' experience in site-based delivery
- Proven experience across roads, bulk earthworks, structures or multidisciplinary civil scopes
- Strong understanding of project programming, cost control and forecasting
- Extensive leadership and management experience
- High level of written and verbal communication skills
- Due to project requirement, you will need to be an Australian Citizen & have the ability to obtain a Baseline Security Clearance
