Role: Senior Automation Test Engineer
Location Perth, Western Australia
Work Schedule: Full-Time
Required Experience 10+ Years
Required Technical Skill Set (Must-Haves)
- Programming & Scripting Languages: Expert-level scripting in Python and strong analytical understanding of C / C++.
- Automation Frameworks: Advanced hands-on proficiency with Robot Framework (using Python for microservices & web applications) and Selenium.
- Core Systems & Architecture: Working knowledge of Docker, microservice validation, and Linux environments.
- Robotics & Field Communication Protocols: Familiarity or experience with ROS / ROS2, CAN Bus, and DDS middleware protocols.
- Version Control & Tooling: Proficient with Git/GitLab, Jira, and Confluence for task management, documentation, and source code management.
Required Experience & Competencies
Professional Background
- At least 8+ years of dedicated experience as an Automation Test Analyst / Engineer.
- Minimum of 12+ years of total experience in technology verification and validation.
- Proven record of building automated framework solutions from scratch under minimal guidance.
- Solid experience with the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) alongside performance, reliability, scalability, and load testing tools.
Qualifications & Preferred Experience
- Education: Bachelor's degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, Robotics, or a closely related technical field.
- Domain Expertise (Good-to-Have): Experience with Autonomous Haulage Systems (AHS) or safety-critical engineering domains within the Mining/Resource sector.

- Strong Technical Articulation: Ability to clearly explain and map out complex testing methodologies and data flow layouts to cross-functional teams.
- Collaboration: Capable of collaborating closely with hardware developers, software engineers, and system architects.
- Problem Resolution: Excellent logical reasoning skills to pinpoint issues inside real-time distributed networks and drive them to resolution.
- Commitment to Quality: Ability to establish and advocate for strict Definition of Done (DoD) standards across the delivery pipeline.
