Rise is hiring part-time Support Workers to walk alongside our Mental Health clients within the Community.
The need-to-know…
Rise is on the lookout for Support Workers to join our Mental Health team, people who genuinely enjoy working alongside others to build confidence, independence and everyday skills.
In this role, you’ll provide practical, person-centred support to people living with mental health challenges. It’s about more than tasks, it’s about building real, consistent relationships and supporting people to move towards goals that matter to them, at a pace that works for them.
This is a community-based role, so you’ll be out and about across the Perth metro area, supporting clients where they live and connect. The position is permanent part-time (minimum 25 hours per week), working Monday to Friday, with flexibility across daytime shifts required. There’s also potential to grow into a full-time role over time.
What Your Day Might Include
- Working one-on-one with people to achieve goals that are meaningful to them
- Using strengths-based, recovery-focused approaches in everyday support
- Assisting with daily tasks while building practical life skills
- Heading out to appointments, activities or community catch-ups
- Supporting people to build routines, explore interests and stay connected
- Encouraging independence through conversations, not just checklists
- Connecting clients with services, supports and opportunities
- Keeping clear, up-to-date notes on progress and support provided
- Sharing knowledge and supporting teammates through buddy shifts
The need-to-have…
Here At Rise, We Nurture Potential, But We Do Need You To Have a Few Tricks Up Your Sleeve Including The Following
- A related qualification (Disability, Aged Care, Allied Health or Community Services) and/or relevant hands-on experience
- Experience working within a mental health recovery approach
- A practical, strengths-focused way of supporting people to live well and build independence
- Experience helping shape, deliver and review plans that support real, meaningful goals
- The confidence to work independently, balanced with a genuine team mindset
- Sound judgement, good initiative and the ability to keep clear, professional boundaries
- Driving licence with use of a reliable vehicle for work purposes
Formalities (The serious stuff!)
Appointments to this position require a NDIS worker screening check and working with children check (depending on clients). Costs for new checks will be covered and/or reimbursed by Rise.
