A: You choose your working hours. Flexible daytime hours means it can suit working parents or GPs who want to balance lifestyle with traditional general practice work.Q: Does this aged care work meet the requirements of DPA/19AB for obtaining a Medicare provider number?
A: Yes. This aged care position qualifies for a DPA exemption, allowing GPs under the 19AB moratorium to access a Medicare provider number. It also provides the flexibility to work across Adelaide and surrounding areas, including locations that are not normally classified as DPAQ: How much can I earn?
A: Your earning potential depends on how many patients you see in a session/day. The work is bulk billed, so GPs working in aged care benefit through the GPACI payments, along with the the upcoming Medicare Bulk Billing changes effective 1 November 2025. Indicative GP earnings are: Minimum $1,600 Gross billings per session (20 patients), up to $4,000 Gross billings per day (50 patients). In addition to the above, GPs will also receive- GPACI payments ($390 per patient, per year paid quarterly)
- Bulk Billing Practice Incentives Program (BBPIP) of 6.25% quarterly payment
