About the opportunity
Join HammondCare’s Advisory Care & Partnerships leadership team in a pivotal national role driving impact for older Australians with complex care needs.
As the Head of National Programs, HACDSP & Respite , you will lead the delivery, implementation and continuous improvement of key national programs including the Hospital to Aged Care Dementia Support Program (HACDSP) and a suite of respite services. With responsibility for a ~$25M budget and a workforce of ~100 professionals and growing, this role is critical in ensuring high-quality, mission-aligned service delivery across Australia.
Reporting to the EGM, Advisory Care & Partnerships, you will play a strategic role in advancing HammondCare’s ambition to lead in dementia and palliative care, working closely with government stakeholders and internal leaders to deliver outcomes that improve quality of life for those in care.
This role is a permanent, full-time opportunity, and can be based out of any office across our national footprint.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation, delivery and optimisation of HACDSP and national respite programs
- Oversee strategy, workforce planning, financial performance, reporting and risk management across programs
- Manage and inspire a high-performing, mission-aligned national team (including 4–6 direct reports and broader workforce)
- Partner with government stakeholders including DoHAC and state health departments
- Ensure achievement of contractual KPIs, budget targets and customer satisfaction outcomes (including high NPS)
- Collaborate with internal leaders across Behaviour Support, Growth & Innovation, Data & Clinical Excellence, and Business Operations
- Identify program improvements, innovation opportunities and growth initiatives
- Lead process improvement and program design initiatives to enhance service delivery
- Maintain strong oversight of risk, compliance and client engagement
What do we need from you?
- Proven leadership experience managing large, multidisciplinary teams and complex national programs
- Strong background in aged care across residential and community settings
- Demonstrated ability to lead change, deliver strategic initiatives and achieve measurable outcomes
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, including experience working with government bodies
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets and performance targets
- Ability to navigate complexity, solve problems and drive continuous improvement
- Exceptional communication skills with a clear, open and intentional approach
- A genuine alignment to HammondCare’s mission, values and person-centred care approach
- Willingness to travel nationally and hold a current driver’s licence
