What To Expect
We are seeking an proactive, confident and engaging Industry Relations & Events Specialist to join our Aftersales team, with a focus on promoting Tesla's Aftersales employer brand, coordinating industry partnerships, and delivering engaging events that help to attract top talent to our Australian & New Zealand operations.
This role is designed for someone who thrives on building relationships with internal & external stakeholders - including TAFEs, trade schools, industry bodies, and community groups - they will excel at both attending external events and creating memorable in house event experiences that showcase Tesla as a premium employer of choice in the Aftersales sector.
Working closely with Aftersales Leadership, HR, Recruiting, L&D, and Marketing, you'll coordinate initiatives that raise awareness of career opportunities, strengthen our presence in the industry, and create pathways for talent to discover and join Tesla.
There will be significant travel involved across Australia & New Zealand. Although an initial 12-month contract, there is scope for conversion to permanent with demonstrated impact.
What You'll Do
Events & Employer Brand Activation
- Coordinate and deliver high-impact events including site open days, industry meet-ups, career expos, and "tech nights" to showcase Tesla's culture, facilities, and career opportunities.
- Promote Tesla's Aftersales employer brand at schools, TAFEs, trade shows, and industry forums to build awareness and excitement around career pathways.
- Create engaging, on-brand experiences that position Tesla as a safe, innovative, and desirable workplace.
Industry & Partner Relations
- Build and maintain strong relationships with TAFEs, trade schools, apprenticeship networks, and industry associations across ANZ.
- Act as the primary point of contact for external education and industry partners, coordinating collaboration opportunities and referral pathways.
- Foster word-of-mouth advocacy and referral channels within professional networks and communities.
Talent Attraction & Pipeline Support
- Support the attraction of qualified candidates - particularly Body Repair Technicians, Painters, and Service Technicians - through proactive outreach and relationship-led engagement.
- Coordinate with the Recruiting team to ensure smooth handover of event-sourced candidates and partnership-driven talent leads.
- Contribute to initiatives that enhance apprentice engagement, conversion, and retention.

Working in close partnership with Aftersales leaders, Recruitment, HR, L&D, and Marketing, this role will:
- Coordinate industry and education partnerships to strengthen Tesla's talent pipeline.
- Deliver events and activations that complement recruitment efforts and build long-term brand awareness.
- Champion Tesla's reputation as a leader in Aftersales career development within the ANZ market.
Expected Outcomes (12-Month Horizon)
By the end of 12 months, the successful candidate will demonstrate measurable contributions to:
- Number and quality of event-driven candidate applications and hires.
- Strength and reach of industry and education partnerships across ANZ.
- Engagement levels at Tesla-hosted events (open days, tech nights, expos).
- Reduction in reliance on traditional job ads through direct engagement and referrals.
- Increased awareness of Tesla Aftersales careers within target talent communities.
