This is a vacancy for Permanent and Fixed Term appointments at various hours or sessions per fortnight. Casual appointments may also be considered, and Fixed term appointments include the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency.

We currently have approval to fill multiple positions, up to 0.8 FTE (Full Time Equivalent).

What is our Consultant - Physician - Oncology role?

The successful applicant will lead the multidisciplinary team to provide specialist medical services to patients. This includes:

Promoting patient safety and quality of care.

Providing leadership, orientation, training, supervision and education, where relevant, for doctors in training, Health Service Medical Practitioners and other health workers.

Promoting, developing and participating in clinical research including clinical trials.

Working in collaboration with the Head of Department and other Consultants to achieve national, state and NMHS performance standards and targets.

Enhancing the reputation of the department for clinical excellence at a state and national level.

Working within the scope of clinical practice as defined and recommended by the Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital Medical Credentialing and Scope of Clinical Practice Committee.
