The Role
The main objective of this role is to manage all aspects of the Victorian retirement village portfolio in accordance with the Retirements Villages Act 1986 (Vic) and the Retirement Villages Amendment Act 2025, resident agreements and other relevant legislative requirements, along with MiCare policies and procedures.
Retirement Villages
- Manage service delivery across MiCare’s Victorian retirement villages in accordance with legislative requirements, resident agreements and financial budgets.
- Ensure maximum occupancy is maintained for each village.
- With the support of Marketing, promote the Victorian villages across relevant media platforms and relevant audiences.
- Maintain an activities timetable that provides residents with a wide range of opportunities for social and physical activities.
- Promote other MiCare services across the villages, including Support at Home and MiMeals.
- In conjunction with Marketing, contribute to a monthly newsletter for each village.
- Attend resident committee meetings and ensure minutes are made available to all village residents.
- Adhere to MiCare’s operational policies and procedures. Understand resident agreements and the translation of those into operations and services which meet or exceed resident expectations.
- Maintain a detailed understanding of the Retirement Villages Act 1986 (Vic) and the Retirement Villages Amendment Act 2025.
- Maintain a detailed understanding of the resident agreements at each of the villages.
- Manage customer relationships, liaise and network with a range of stakeholders including customers, colleagues, suppliers and partner organisations.
- Liaise with, and answer enquiries from individuals and other organisations.
- Maintain and update customer databases.
- Resolve conflict and manage complaints consistent with MiCare’s policies and procedures.
- Suggest and recommend improvements consistent with MiCare’s quality improvement processes.
- Complete monthly reports on the performance and activities for the villages.
- Assist in maintaining a safe work environment by managing all safety issues associated with the services delivered at the villages
- Maintain an awareness of the retirement village sector by attending events such as conferences, seminars, webinars, open days and exhibitions.
- Write articles for magazines, newsletters, and annual reports.
Qualifications

- A degree or diploma in a related area of expertise will be highly regarded.
Experience
- Experience in a similar role would be highly regarded.

- Well developed customer service and interpersonal skills are essential.
- The ability to work in a culturally sensitive manner within an ethno-specific environment.
- Self-motivated with a flexible, caring and patient attitude.

To be considered for this role you must be an Australian or New Zealand Citizen or permanent resident. The successful applicant must satisfactorily complete all pre-employment checks, including National Police Check, Working with Children Check, NDIS Check and influenza and COVID 19 Vaccinations.
