About the Role
As an Electronic Security Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance, fault-finding, and servicing of integrated electronic security systems.
You will work across a variety of sites and technologies, ensuring systems operate reliably and meet client expectations. The role offers exposure to some of Queensland's most significant security projects and long-term service contracts.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation and commissioning of electronic security systems
- Maintenance and servicing of access control, CCTV, intercom, and intrusion detection system
- Fault diagnosis and rectification of security system issues
- Programming and configuration of security platforms
- Testing and commissioning of new installations
- Completion of service reports and project documentation
- Providing technical support to clients and project teams
- Ensuring compliance with relevant Australian Standards and company procedures
- Participating in after-hours support and on-call rosters when required
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience working as an Electronic Security Technician
- Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills
- Experience commissioning and servicing integrated security systems
- The ability to work independently and manage your workload effectively
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- A commitment to quality workmanship and safety
Preferred Experience
Experience with one or more of the following systems would be highly regarded:
- Gallagher
- Integriti
- Tecom
- Milestone
- Genetec
- Avigilon
Qualifications & Licences
- Current QLD Security Provider Licence
- Current QLD Open Driver's Licence
- Construction Industry White Card
- Relevant trade qualification or industry experience
