About the Role

We are seeking a highly capable Retail Area Manager (NSW & QLD) to lead our Sydney and Brisbane Airport stores and Shop-in-Shop (SIS). This is a senior multi-site leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment and is passionate about operational excellence, team development, and premium brand presentation.

You will take ownership of retail performance across NSW and QLD, ensuring every store reflects the Samsonite standard of excellence.

Balancing strategic oversight with hands-on leadership, you will guide store teams, strengthen operational discipline, and elevate customer experience across these locations.

Typical Duties Include

  • Lead end-to-end operations across all company-owned stores and SIS locations in NSW & QLD.
  • Ensure exceptional execution of brand standards, visual merchandising, and in-store presentation
  • Oversee daily, weekly, and monthly reporting, compliance, and operational governance
  • Manage customer and operational escalations, including warranty, delivery, and service issues
  • Partner with Inventory Control to ensure precise stock integrity and reconciliation (SAP & iVend)
  • Conduct regular field visits to coach teams, review performance, and strengthen operational excellence
  • Develop and mentor Store Managers and Assistant Managers to achieve strong commercial outcomes
  • Drive consistent sales performance and service excellence across the region
  • Lead biannual stocktakes and ensure absolute accuracy in stock management
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with landlords, partners, and internal stakeholders

  • A strong drive and be keen to work towards sales targets
  • Proven capability in managing, leading, and developing retail teams
  • A flair and strong capability for stock management and operational detail
  • The ability to consistently provide exceptional customer service
  • Strong experience in multi-site or area retail leadership
  • A track record of elevating store performance and team capability
  • Confidence in retail systems, reporting, and stock control
  • A hands-on leadership style with high attention to detail and standards
  • Strong influencing, coaching, and communication skills
