Our Clayton care home is set within a lively community 25kms from the CBD, surrounded by a hospital, supermarket, and schools. It consists of 155 beds, with a variety of care types. Our primary goal is placing our focus on the health, lifestyle and well-being of our residents.
About The Role
As a Maintenance Officer you will be responsible for the delivery of a high standard of property services, including repairs and maintenance, to ensure a comfortable and safe environment for our residents.
This is a permanent part time position, working Monday, Wednesdays and Fridays.
Duties
- Provide repairs and maintenance support to the care home across a wide scope of activities including; landscaping and garden maintenance; general repairs; waste removal; painting and test and tagging
- Assisting the sourcing of appropriate service providers and contractors, utilising relevant IT and purchasing systems
- Assisting the management of Property Services projects
- Ensure compliance with Work Health and Safety and Property Services Quality Assurance procedures
Skills and Experience
- Experience in Property Maintenance and Building Works
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in Occupational Health and Safety
- The ability to solve problems independently
