Senior Project Manager – IT & Data Initiatives | Manufacturing & Defence Environment

The Opportunity

We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead a portfolio of IT upgrades and data-driven projects within a complex, fast-paced Manufacturing and Defence Services environment.

In this role, you’ll deliver end-to-end projects, influence senior stakeholders, and use data insights to drive better business outcomes. This is a great opportunity to step into a high-impact position with strong visibility across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of end-to-end IT projects (Agile & Waterfall)
• Manage project plans, timelines, budgets, and resources
• Engage with stakeholders up to executive level
• Drive cross-functional collaboration across IT, Data, and Business teams
• Identify and mitigate project risks and issues
• Ensure strong governance, compliance, and reporting
• Oversee testing phases (SIT, UAT, etc.) and ensure quality outcomes
• Deliver data-driven insights and reporting (Excel, SQL, Power BI)

Skills & Experience

• 10+ years’ experience in IT Project Management
• Proven track record delivering complex technology projects
• Strong stakeholder engagement, including senior leaders
• Experience with:
  • Microsoft Project
  • JIRA or Azure DevOps
  • Excel / SQL / reporting tools
• Ability to manage multiple projects in fast-paced environments
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Must be an Australian Citizen for this role

Highly Regarded

• PMP, PRINCE2, or SAFe certification
• ITIL knowledge
• Experience in Manufacturing, Defence, or Government
• Power BI / Tableau experience
• Exposure to Python or
