Role Description

The S/4HANA MM - Lean Services Consultant is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting procurement and service management processes using SAP S/4HANA Materials Management with Lean Services functionality. The role focuses on enabling simplified service procurement, service entry, and supplier collaboration processes, ensuring alignment with business requirements and operational efficiency. The consultant works closely with procurement, finance, and operations teams to deliver scalable and integrated solutions.

Location: Brisbane

Salary: 150,742 – 171,215 Annual Gross

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end implementations, rollouts, and enhancements for S/4HANA MM with Lean Services
  • Gather and analyse business requirements for service procurement, service entry, and invoice management
  • Configure procurement processes including service master, service entry sheets, purchase requisitions (PR), purchase orders (PO), and contracts
  • Enable Lean Services functionality for simplified service procurement without complex service hierarchies
  • Conduct workshops and drive solution design for procurement and external service management processes
  • Ensure integration with FICO (accounts payable, invoice verification), EAM (maintenance services), and Project Systems (project-based procurement)
  • Support supplier collaboration processes and integration with Ariba (if applicable)
  • Configure pricing procedures, account assignment categories, and service valuation processes
  • Support data migration for service master data, vendor master, and procurement transactions
  • Assist in UAT, go-live, hyper care, and defect resolution activities
  • Drive process optimization, automation, and compliance within procurement operations
  • Collaborate with technical teams for enhancements, workflows, interfaces, and Fiori enablement

  • Data migration templates, reconciliation outputs, and validation reports
  • Test scripts, test results, and defect logs
  • User training materials, SOPs, and end-user documentation
  • Go-live readiness and cutover plans
  • Post-go-live support and continuous improvement documentation

Essential

ADDITIONAL

  • Experience with SAP Ariba (Buying & Invoicing, SLP) for service procurement
  • Exposure to central procurement and shared services models
  • Knowledge of catalog-based procurement and guided buying
  • Experience with automation, workflows, and digital procurement initiatives
  • Familiarity with S/4HANA Embedded Analytics or SAC for procurement reporting
  • SAP certification in S/4HANA Sourcing and Procurement
