About the role
Lead Coonamble Shire Council’s water and sewer operations, managing a small team, plant operations, compliance, maintenance planning and asset improvements across essential regional infrastructure.
What you'll Lead
- Lead the Water and Sewer team day to day
- Manage water and sewer services, plant ops and service reliability
- Plan maintenance, servicing and capital improvement works
- Oversee water quality, health, safety and environmental compliance
- Build systems, manuals, reports, budgets and asset plans
- Manage contractors, risk, WHS and community service outcomes
Skills & Experience
- Qualifications in Water and Sewer, Engineering or a related field
- Experience in water, sewer, utilities, infrastructure or regulated operations
- Strong people leadership, planning and budget management skills
- Knowledge of WHS, compliance, water quality and plant operations
- Class P, P2 or C Licence, White Card and Australian working rights
Benefits
- Salary from $98,566.00 - $114,102.45 + Super with anticipated 4% Local Government (State) Award increase from 1 July 2026 to $102,507.60 - $118,665.40 + Super
- 9-day fortnight plus four weeks’ annual leave

- Overtime/time in lieu and applicable allowances
- Civil liability, uniform and overtime allowances where eligible
