Your Role at St John of God Bunbury
You will be a Medical Registrar or Resident Medical Officer looking to step up and join our skilled team of Physicians on a 1 2–24-month fixed term contract, with commencement opportunities available in August 2026 or February 2027.
This is a General Medical role with valuable exposure to subspecialties including Palliative Care and Cardiology, offering excellent opportunities to expand your clinical skillset in a supportive environment. Subsidised accommodation is provided to assist with your relocation and lifestyle.

The Position
- Manage patient care under the direction of consultants.
- Must seek assistance from a senior colleague/consultant if uncertain regarding any aspect of clinical duties.
- Provide clinical supervision and teaching to junior staff.
- Contributes to all aspects of clinical care of patients who are admitted to hospital; commit to a team approach in the delivery of care, working closely with nursing staff, allied health professionals, members of pastoral care services, and other clinicians both onsite and offsite.
- Lead or supervise documentation (minimum daily) of all relevant details of the patients’ care while in hospital; admission history and examination, results of investigations, care plan, interdisciplinary consultation advice, follow-up plans.
- Arrange and document results of investigations, including radiology, pathology, microbiology, haematology, biochemistry etc.
- Co-ordinate multidisciplinary management of patient, including consultation requests for Allied Health or other medical specialties and nurse case managers.
You will be eligible for registration as a medical practitioner with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA), with a minimum of 3 years clinical experience and at least 12 months experience within Australian Healthcare.

We can offer you
- Salary: (increase from 1st October 2026) $128,760 to $175,802 per annum, plus 12% superannuation
- Professional development allowance (increase from 1st October 2026) $11,721, pro rata per Annum if part time
