- Band 7, Starting salary $106,343 plus superannuation

The Role
Are you passionate about health, safety and employee wellbeing?
Working within our Safety and Wellbeing team, as our Senior Injury and Wellbeing Advisor, you will:
- Ensure the City meets its obligations and responsibilities through effective and strategic claims management, in accordance with the Workplace Injury Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 2013
- Lead the management of WorkCover claims minimising actual and potential costs
- Support the development of a positive safety culture throughout the organisation to ensure a safe, healthy and productive workplace
- Provide professional and specialist advice to People Managers and staff in relation to wellbeing, workers compensation, early intervention, return to work, and injury management
This is a temporary parental leave backfill position.
About You
To be successful in this varied position, you will have:
- Extensive knowledge and experience in the provision of strategic and results-oriented injury/ claims management and prevention, and wellbeing services and programs
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and have a thorough knowledge of the Workplace Injury Rehabilitation Compensation and Occupational Health and Safety legislation and regulations
- Sound administrative, problem solving, research, analytical and decision-making skills and experience
- A customer service focus with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Patience, empathy and tact, and the ability to judge situations to determine the best way forward
- Relevant qualifications and/or extensive experience in Injury/ WorkCover Claims Management
This role requires a satisfactory police records check, employee Working with Children Check and current drivers licence.
