Reporting to the Technical Support Team Leader, the Technical Support Engineer will be based at our Notting Hill head office in Victoria. You will play a key role in delivering effective service as directed (geographically, by product, by task, etc.) to achieve customer satisfaction, revenue, and contract development.

Key responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Inbound customer service calls, initial screening for prioritisation, and phone support;
  • Record service calls into the database for action;
  • Timely and effective handling of service requests;
  • Coordinate and perform “return to base” preventative maintenance;
  • Assembly, configuration, and testing of new devices;
  • Ensure service loan devices are fully maintained and in requisite working order;
  • Provide additional on-site breakdown service and/or preventative maintenance resourcing to support customers across ANZ;
  • Convey potential leads to the Sales team;
  • Identify and report quality issues from the field to internal stakeholders;
  • Apply a compliance focused mindset across all operations, and;
  • Always ensure a safety-first approach.

The ideal candidate will be equipped with the following attributes:

  • Tertiary qualification in Biomedical or Electronics Engineering;
  • 3+ years’ experience in the Medical Devices industry;
  • Workshop or Field Service experience;
  • Desire and ability to efficiently learn technical products;
  • Proficiency with SAP, CRM, and Microsoft tools;
  • Adaptability and readiness to handle multiple, changing priorities in a fast-paced environment;
  • Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn;
  • Exemplary understanding of compliance rules and ability to act as a role model in upholding and promoting compliance standards, and;
  • Excellent customer focus, problem solving, analytical, organisational, task management, and communication skills;
  • Current Drivers License.
