Full time | Fixed term till End of May 2027 Greater Western Sydney, Hawkesbury and Blue Mountains

As an Occupational Therapist, you’ll be responsible for providing support to our clients with the goal of maximising mobility, functional capability and independence.

You will provide relevant professional services based on the needs and goals of each individual client.

A drivers licence and access to a a vehicle is required for travel around the Greater Western Sydney, Hawkesbury and Blue Mountains area.

What you’ll do

In this role, you will provide relevant professional services based on the needs and goals of the individual client.

  • Facilitate client assessments and service delivery in collaboration with the broader team
  • Provide professional Occupational Therapy services to Uniting clients
  • Build and maintain strong professional relationships with clients and support staff
  • Provide expert advise to the Neighbourhood and clinical team
  • Review and maintain the required client documentation
  • Ensure that the client’s voice is heard when it comes to support, social engagement and quality of life
  • Maintain a high standard of conduct and performance in accordance with Uniting’s values and policies.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor qualification in Occupational Therapy or equivalent qualification
  • Current registration with the Australian Health Professional Registration Authority (AHPRA)
  • Current Australian Drivers License
  • Previous experience in Aged Care or similar industry is preferred
  • Strong communication and customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with others
  • Ability and willingness to travel when required
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct health screenings and functional assessments.
