We are seeking an experienced Senior Learning & Development Project Officer to support the design, development, coordination and delivery of high-quality learning solutions. This role contributes to building workforce capability through contemporary learning practices, stakeholder engagement and continuous improvement initiatives. Working within a complex and secure environment, the successful candidate will collaborate with subject matter experts and business stakeholders to develop effective training programs that support organisational objectives and operational outcomes. This role will be a 12-month fixed-term contract based on-site in Canberra or Melbourne.
Requirements
What You'll Do
- Design, develop and deliver engaging learning solutions for adult learners using contemporary instructional design methodologies.
- Plan, coordinate and facilitate face-to-face, virtual and e-learning training programs.
- Develop training materials, learner guides, facilitator resources and supporting documentation.
- Manage learning and development activities, including scheduling, stakeholder engagement, reporting and quality assurance.
- Monitor, evaluate and continuously improve learning programs through data analysis, participant feedback and lessons learned.
- Maintain learning records and reporting through Learning Management Systems (LMS) and related tools.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, subject matter experts, vendors and service providers to identify learning needs and deliver effective training outcomes.
- Support organisational change initiatives through training, communication and user adoption activities.
- Contribute to project planning, governance and reporting activities as required
What You'll Bring
- Demonstrated experience designing, developing and delivering learning and development programs for adult learners within complex organisational environments.
- Strong knowledge of instructional design principles, adult learning theory and learning evaluation methodologies.
- Proven experience developing blended learning solutions, including classroom, virtual and e-learning delivery.
- Experience using Learning Management Systems (LMS) and learning technologies to administer, track and report on training activities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly to diverse audiences.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills, with experience working collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
- Highly developed organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes within agreed timeframes.
- A commitment to continuous improvement, quality assurance and evidence-based learning practices.
- Experience working within government, Defence or other highly regulated environments will be highly regarded.
- Ability to obtain and maintain the required security clearance and successfully complete relevant suitability assessments.
- For this role, you must hold a TPSV or Positive Vetting Security Clearance.
