Senior People & Culture Business Partner

About the Role

We’re seeking an experienced Senior People & Culture Business Partner to join our national team, partnering closely with leaders to shape, influence, and deliver people strategies that drive business performance.

In this strategic and hands-on role, you will play a critical part in building leadership capability, enhancing culture, and delivering impactful people initiatives aligned to our organisational goals.

What You’ll Be Doing

Strategic Partnering

  • Partner with leaders to translate business strategy into actionable people plans
  • Provide guidance on workforce planning, organisational design, and capability uplift
  • Contribute to business planning and key transformation initiatives

Talent & Workforce Management

  • Drive workforce planning, succession strategies, and talent pipeline development
  • Facilitate talent and performance discussions with leadership teams
  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition on recruitment strategies for critical roles

Performance & Development

  • Embed high-performance practices including goal setting and development planning
  • Coach leaders on managing performance, including high-potential and underperformance cases
  • Promote a culture of continuous development and accountability

Employee Relations & Advisory

  • Provide expert advice on employee relations matters including conduct, conflict, and performance
  • Support leaders through complex and sensitive people matters
  • Ensure compliance with legislation and best-practice HR approaches

Culture & Engagement

  • Champion initiatives that strengthen engagement, inclusion, and belonging
  • Support employee surveys and drive meaningful action planning
  • Promote organisational values and employee value proposition

People Programs & Cycles

  • Lead key people processes including performance reviews, talent calibration, and remuneration cycles
  • Ensure consistency and quality across all HR programs

About You

You are a strategic, commercially minded HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced, stakeholder-driven environment. You bring:

  • Proven experience as an HR/People & Culture Business Partner, ideally in a complex or consulting environment
  • Strong knowledge of employment legislation and contemporary HR practices
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and partner with senior leaders
  • Ability to form strong working relationships with Key Stakeholders
  • Ability to operate as a genuine partner to the business providing expert advice that balances commerciality, strategy and legislation.
  • Highly developed coaching, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills
  • A degree in HR, Business, or related discipline
