About the opportunity

As our Retail Postage Sorter, you’ll play an important part in keeping millions of Australians connected. As you’d expect, plenty of mail comes through our Post Offices and delivery facilities every day – and our mail sorting teams make sure every delivery gets where it needs to.

Role Details

• This role is ideal for the early birds! You’ll be working Monday - Friday, 6.30am – 10.51 am, extra hours may become available when other team members are on leave
• Pay rate commences on $28.12 / hour for approx. 3 months, then increases to $30.07/ hour + 12% Superannuation.
• Extensive, supportive (paid) training on commencement, training will also be provided on front counter customer service duties
• You will have full access to Post Perks where you can save $$ on everything from fuel to supermarkets and tech to travel!

You’ll be

• Manually sorting all mail arriving at the workplace.
• Sorting and distributing mail into relevant PO Boxes.
• Assisting and/or performing administrative duties such as stocktaking and record maintenance.
• Serving customers on the front counter, processing transactions like bill paying, banking and conducting Passport interviews

• You’re friendly, enthusiastic and reliable and you love the balance of working in a team environment and autonomously.
• You’re motivated by the opportunity to help make a difference to your community.
• Call upon your memory and hand-eye coordination while sorting.
• Be fit to lift up to 16kgs of mail regularly and stand for your shift.
