About the Role

Westbourne Grammar School is looking for an experienced and stylistically versatile VIT registered music educator to teach strings in a 0.2 FTE role for Terms 3 and 4 2026.

The main teaching responsibilities of the role involve our Year 7 and 8 string programs. The position will involve team teaching in our strings classroom program with violin, viola, cello and double bass as well as classroom theory. All music staff are also expected to have an involvement in Westbourne’s co-curricular ensemble program.

It is expected the successful candidate will be passionate about string teaching. We are looking for an exemplary practitioner to join our team, who displays the desire and skills to encourage lifelong appreciation for music. This position could suit a violin/viola or cello specialist. Due to growth in the school, there is potential for future work beyond this fixed term position.
