As the Clinical Nurse Consultant Grade 2 – McGrath Metastatic Breast Care Nurse, you will provide advanced clinical leadership and specialist care to people living with metastatic breast cancer across the Shoalhaven region. Working within Cancer Services and in partnership with the McGrath Foundation, you will deliver evidence-based assessment, education, support and care coordination, ensuring patients and their families receive high-quality, person-centred care throughout their cancer journey. As a recognised clinical expert, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and community providers, provide consultancy and leadership to healthcare professionals, contribute to service development and strategic planning, and champion excellence in clinical practice, education and research in line with the McGrath Model of Care and ISLHD's CORE values of Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment.

Shoalhaven Memorial Hospital is the main referral hospital for the Shoalhaven region, providing emergency care, medical, surgical and orthopaedic services. The hospital has an Intensive Care Unit focusing on high dependency and coronary patients, Children’s Ward and Maternity Unit, as well as a purpose-built regional Cancer Care Centre.

The hospital is currently undergoing a significant $440M redevelopment that will redefine how healthcare is delivered within the Region.   • Applicable vaccination requirements for a Category A role.
  • Working With Children Check (WWCC)
  • Current AHPRA Registration
  • Valid NSW Drivers Licence
  • The CNC2 is to have 5 years full time equivalent post registration experience, with at least 3 years full time equivalent experience in the specialty of breast or cancer nursing. In addition the employee must have approved postgraduate nursing qualifications relevant to Breast or Cancer nursing or such other qualifications or experience deemed appropriate to Breast or Cancer Nursing. An employer may also require a higher qualification in the specialist nursing field where such a qualification is considered essential for the performance of the individual position at CNC2.

This is a temporary parental leave relief position until 17 October 2027 with the possibility of an extension at same or reduced hours.
