Northern Health are seeking applications from motivated and suitably experienced Registered Nurse/Midwife or Registered Midwife to join the Women’s & Children’s department.

Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourne’s rapidly growing outer north.We are currently seeking a number ofPart Timeor Full Time

Registered Nurse Midwife or Registered Midwife to join our ever-growing team in the Women’s and Children’s Division, including:

  • Antenatal Clinic
  • Maternity Assessment Centre
  • Birthing Suite
  • Maternity Unit
  • Neonatal Unit
  • Domiciliary Care

About the Role

As a RN/RM or RM, you will performduties with the support and guidance of the Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager, Clinical Nurse and Shift Leaders to ensure a high level of quality patient care is delivered within the unit. You will be responsible for assessing, planning, coordinating and evaluating the care delivery needs of each patient’s individual needs.

We are seeking motivated, positive and ambitious senior nurses and midwives to deliver outstanding patient care. This is a great opportunity for a Nurse and/or Midwife who would like to progress their career in this area of specialty.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Current qualifications and registration with AHPRA aseither a Registered Nurse/Midwife orRegistered Midwife.
  • Ability to rotate across all areas (including Antenatal Clinic, Birthing Suite, Maternity Unit, Maternity Assessment Centre & Domiciliary)
  • Current FSEP minimum Level 2and Level 3 for Maternity Assessment Centre
  • Ability to assess, plan, coordinate and evaluate care delivery needs of patients
  • Ability to work night duty- non-negotiable
  • An ability to provide clear patient education and instruction
  • Sound computer literacy and documentation skills
