Exciting Opportunity for AI Governance Lead/ Manager

we’re looking for exceptional people to help shape the future of responsible AI across the organisation.

This is a minimum 12‑month with flexible rates, recognising that true AI governance specialists are rare.

Any industry background is welcome.

What matters is your understanding of AI standards (ISO 42001 / ISO 42005), AI operating models, and your ability to turn governance theory into practical, real‑world controls. Candidates from Government, Technology, Risk, Systems, and Data environments tend to thrive here.

What you’ll be doing

Translating ISO 42001 & ISO 42005 into practical governance

Applying AI governance frameworks to real use cases, risks, and decisions

Exploring AI as a socio‑technical system — people, data, vendors, workflows, incentives

Using the AI Lifecycle Model to adapt governance from exploration → operational use

Framing priority AI use cases with ethical, human, and accountability considerations

Applying governance qualities: transparency, explainability, reliability, robustness, fairness, contestability, human oversight

Designing controls using the 5Ps Control Canvas (Policy, Processes, People, Performance, Planning)

Drafting governance artefacts: AI Use Case Register, Impact Screens, control canvases, decision thresholds, procurement prompts, monitoring plans, review frameworks
