Senior Intelligence Analyst

Your new role

  • As a senior member of the Intelligence team, lead and manage a team to achieve high standards of performance, accountability, collaboration, ethics, and integrity; manage the allocation of resources, budgets, business and project planning and reporting; and demonstrate a strong commitment to a positive culture and the development of staff.
  • Provide strategic intelligence (such as strategic foresight and horizon scanning) that meets enterprise and operational needs, supporting the setting and delivery of the department's strategic priorities, and informing strategic decision making.
  • Support regulatory operations and investigations by providing fit-for-purpose intelligence products, managing associated legislative and compliance obligations.
  • Lead the development of intelligence products, such as strategic foresight and horizon scanning, that directly respond to enterprise and regulatory requirements, collaborating across the internal and external parties as required.
  • Lead the development of processes, standards, and methods for the generation of intelligence.
  • Lead the development and implementation of data and information collection systems and storage.
  • Mentor and peer review intelligence products and generation processes and techniques; contribute to the uplift of intelligence capability across the department

What you need to succeed

  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, including building a shared sense of direction, clarifying priorities; identifies and responds proactively to strategic issues impacting the operating environment.
  • Ability to implement performance management and development frameworks that manage staff performance, build organisational capability, and support individual development objectives; create and promote and environment that appropriately balances teamwork and individual accountability; provides timely, constructive, and objective feedback.
  • Advanced management skills and demonstrated capability to plan, monitor and deliver multiple concurrent projects / programs, including risk identification and management, budget development and management; optimise the allocation and use of resources; and evaluate project / program effectiveness.
  • A proven record of achievement in a similar role which contributes to organisational excellence, high standards of performance and a positive organisational culture.
  • Demonstrated focus on accountability for the execution and quality of results through professionalism, persistence, and transparency.
  • Proven ability to work as an effective member of a cohesive team, with a demonstrated commitment to the successful delivery of the highest organisational priorities; proven capability to build and sustain enduring relationships to enable the collaborative delivery of outcomes and achievement of goals and targets.
  • Ability to think outside the square, a willingness to try new things and a genuine desire to learn, share knowledge and make a difference.
