Project Manager

We are currently seeking an experienced Project Manager to join a well-established building and construction company based in Cairns.
This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for delivering building and commercial construction projects from inception through to completion, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management & Delivery
- Lead and manage end-to-end construction project delivery
- Develop and maintain project programs, budgets, and resource plans
- Monitor project progress and manage risks
Financial & Commercial Management
- Manage budgets, forecasts, and cost control
- Oversee contract administration including variations and procurement
- Ensure projects achieve profitability targets.
Stakeholder & Client Management
- Act as the key point of contact for clients and stakeholders
- Build strong relationships and provide regular project updates
Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor project teams, site supervisors, and subcontractors
- Drive a high-performing and collaborative team environment
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and standards
- Promote strong WHS practices across all projects
About You
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in construction
- Strong knowledge of construction methodologies and contracts
- Experience managing budgets, schedules, and subcontractors
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects
Qualifications
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Construction, Engineering or related field
- White Card
- Valid driver’s licence
