About The Role
The Digital Division operates, maintains and delivers digital capabilities to ensure AEMO fulfills its obligations across all jurisdictions and markets in which we operate. This includes strategic technology foresight and plans, delivery of digital change, operation of critical infrastructure, key internal stakeholder engagement operation of all of AEMO’s IT applications and services.
You will be involved in the planning, execution and delivery of testing across multiple projects. This role requires Functional, Automation and Performance testing skills to perform the role of a trusted quality assurance analyst and a subject matter expert on testing requirements, test planning, test execution and results management.
To be eligible for this role you must an Australian citizen and hold a minimum “Baseline” clearance with AGSVA or be eligible to apply.
This is a fixed term, 12-month contract.
What You Will Be Doing
- Create and maintain automated test scripts using tools like Selenium or Playwright.
- Execute automated tests and analyse results to ensure quality.
- Create Test plan, develop Test Scripts, Test cases and execute them.
- Analyse requirements and system changes, design and execute tests that aim to minimise risks and achieve the highest levels of quality assurance and reliability.
- Identify, document, and triage defects using tools such as JIRA, PractiTest or equivalent.
What You Will Bring To The Role
- Energy sector experience is preferred, with strong functional and automation testing experience.
- PlayWright with c#, essential and ReqnRoll and Glucode will be highly regarded.
- Strong knowledge of API testing using tools like Postman and Swagger/Scalar and performance testing and monitoring tools such as LoadRunner.
- Strong Understanding on SDLC and STLC processes.
- Demonstrated understanding of the software development process, including requirement gathering, analysis/design, development tools/technologies, release/version control, contemporary testing methodologies and deployment management.
