About the role

St Vincent de Paul Society Queensland (SVdPQ) is entering an exciting phase of growth and transformation, with significant strategic initiatives underway across its service delivery, retail network, property portfolio and broader organisational operations.

To support this journey, the organisation is seeking a seasoned Head of Strategic Delivery to establish and lead a new enterprise-wide delivery capability that brings greater visibility, discipline and alignment to the execution of strategic priorities.

This newly created, hands-on leadership role offers an opportunity to build a delivery function from the ground up, embedding fit-for-purpose frameworks, governance processes and portfolio oversight that enable strategy to be translated into prioritised, achievable and measurable outcomes.

Working closely with the ELT and key stakeholders across a complex environment, you will create a single view of strategic initiatives, drive transparent prioritisation and strengthen organisational capability to deliver sustainable impact.

The Person

The ideal candidate will be a pragmatic and influential delivery leader with a proven track record of building and embedding enterprise delivery, portfolio management or PMO capabilities within complex organisations.

You will have demonstrated success translating strategic objectives into clear, prioritised and executable plans, establishing governance frameworks and portfolio reporting that provide meaningful insights into progress, outcomes and organisational impact.

Adept at navigating ambiguity and influencing diverse stakeholder groups, you will bring the ability to align competing priorities, facilitate informed decision-making and provide governance bodies with clear options, trade-offs and recommendations.

With at least seven years' experience in delivery leadership, enterprise planning or portfolio management, you will combine strategic thinking with a hands-on approach to execution.

Experience within mission-driven, not-for-profit or community services will be highly regarded, particularly where you have operated in federated organisations and governance-focused settings.
