Cyber Security Opportunities - Multiple Roles (Advisor & Junior Analyst)

We are currently seeking Cyber Security professionals across multiple seniority levels to support a large-scale, fast-paced environment delivering critical security outcomes.

These opportunities sit within a high-performing cyber security function, focused on strengthening enterprise security posture, supporting identity platforms, and ensuring compliance with Australian government frameworks.

The Opportunity

We are hiring across two key roles:

  • Lead Cyber Advisor (Senior)
  • Junior Cyber Security Analyst (Mid-level)

Both roles offer the opportunity to work on complex systems, collaborate with technical and business stakeholders, and contribute to meaningful cyber security outcomes in a secure environment.

Role 1: Lead Cyber Advisor ACT

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive security risk assessments across ICT systems and applications
  • Develop and review security documentation including System Security Plans (SSPs) and related artefacts
  • Provide expert advice on system and application design aligned to security frameworks
  • Present findings, risks, and recommendations to senior stakeholders and executive audiences
  • Collaborate across teams to uplift organizational security posture
  • Ensure compliance with PSPF, ISM, and Essential Eight controls
  • Work across complex environments including cloud, legacy, and emerging technologies

Key Requirements

  • ~5+ years' experience in cyber security within government environments
  • Proven experience conducting security risk assessments across:
    • Azure Cloud
    • Legacy ICT systems
    • Complex and emerging technologies (including AI
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Australian security frameworks (PSPF, ISM, Essential Eight)
    • Networking infrastructure
  • Ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including executive-level reporting
  • Experience working in fast-paced, high-volume environments

Role 2: Junior Cyber Security Analyst ACT, NSW, VIC

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the day-to-day operation and stability of an enterprise Identity & Access Management platform
  • Manage user access, provisioning, and identity lifecycle activities
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system and access issues
  • Handle ServiceNow requests, queues, and operational processes
  • Maintain and enhance RBAC models and access controls
  • Support integrations with Active Directory and Entra ID
  • Participate in change reviews and system improvements
  • Assist with automation, process improvement, and documentation
  • Provide mentoring and contribute to team capability uplift

Key Requirements

  • Experience working with Identity Governance & Administration (IGA) platforms, ideally One Identity Manager
  • Strong understanding of:
    • IAM concepts (RBAC, access governance, privileged access, etc.)
    • Integration with enterprise systems (AD, Entra ID, HR systems, Exchange)
  • Experience in application development, customisation, or system integration within IAM environments
  • Ability to:
    • Work across business and technical teams
    • Contribute to solution design, testing, and deployment
  • Knowledge of Australian security frameworks (ISM, PSPF, Essential Eight)
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and documentation skills

Additional Information (Both Roles)

  • Contract Duration: 12 months with potential extensions
  • Location: Canberra (with some flexibility depending on role)
  • Security Clearance: Must hold NV1 (Negative Vetting Level 1) clearance
