The Role
The Video Editor is responsible for delivering high-quality, platform-native content across social, creator, and campaign work for some of the world’s leading brands and talent. This role combines strong editorial craft with a deep understanding of digital culture, creating content that is engaging, effective, and tailored to the unique behaviours of each platform.
Working within Global Production Studios (GPS), the Video Editor collaborates closely with producers, creatives, designers, and stakeholders across multiple markets to bring ideas to life from brief through to delivery. The role requires strong storytelling instincts, technical excellence, and the ability to balance creative ambition with efficient execution in a fast-paced environment.
The ideal candidate is highly curious about internet culture, emerging trends, and evolving platform behaviours, while demonstrating the editorial judgment and attention to detail required to consistently deliver client-ready work with minimal revisions.
Responsibilities
- Edit high-quality video content across social, creator, and campaign work, delivering platform-native edits that feel authentic to the internet while meeting brand objectives.
- Create engaging, culturally relevant content for platforms including TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts, with a strong understanding of hooks, pacing, trends, and audience behaviour.
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of internet culture, creator ecosystems, memes, music trends, and emerging content formats, proactively applying these insights to elevate creative output.
- Execute briefs with strong editorial judgment, balancing creative ambition with platform best practices and brand requirements.
- Deliver client-ready edits with minimal revisions, maintaining a high standard of storytelling, technical execution, and attention to detail.
- Adapt seamlessly between high-volume social content and more complex campaign work, including branded content, hero assets, TVCs, sizzle reels, and premium productions.
- Collaborate closely with producers, creatives, designers, and stakeholders across multiple markets to bring ideas to life from brief through to delivery.
- Participate in creative reviews, edit feedback sessions, and campaign kickoffs, contributing ideas that strengthen the work while remaining aligned to the brief.
- Manage editing workflows from footage ingestion through revisions, final delivery, and archival, maintaining clean file management and version control practices.
- Identify creative or technical risks early and proactively communicate blockers, recommendations, and opportunities for improvement.
- Stay at the forefront of editing techniques, platform trends, AI tools, and emerging technologies to continuously elevate output and efficiency.
- Contribute to a culture of creative excellence by sharing knowledge, supporting teammates, and helping uphold editorial standards across Global Production Studios.
Requirements
- 3–5+ years of experience editing social, creator, branded, or campaign content within an agency, publisher, production company, or in-house creative team.
- Demonstrated experience creating platform-native content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts, with a strong understanding of audience behaviour and content performance.
- Strong editorial instincts with proven ability to craft compelling narratives through pacing, structure, music selection, and creative storytelling.
- Deep interest in internet culture, creator ecosystems, trends, memes, music, and digital communities, with an understanding of how culture moves online.
- Ability to identify and apply emerging content trends and editing techniques before they become mainstream.
- Experience working across both high-volume social content and premium campaign work, including branded content, hero assets, sizzle reels, and multi-asset campaigns.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects, with working knowledge of DaVinci Resolve, CapCut, Photoshop, and other relevant editing tools.
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high creative and technical standards.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to deliver client-ready work that meets platform specifications and brand requirements.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working alongside producers, creatives, and stakeholders in fast-paced environments.
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative, global team environment.
Desirable
- Experience shooting content across social, creator, or branded productions, including operating cameras, lighting, and audio equipment.
- Experience capturing content for platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube, with an eye for framing, pacing, and platform-native storytelling.
- Familiarity with creator-led or run-and-gun production environments where agility and adaptability are required.
