The Opportunity

The Digital Marketing Specialist will oversee and optimise our paid media performance. In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of large-scale budgets across paid social, search, and video channels, ensuring all campaigns align with business priorities. Your primary focus will be leveraging data to drive efficiencies, improving cost per booking (CPB), and maximising return on ad spend (ROAS). If you have strong analytical skills and a background in managing multi-channel digital budgets, this role offers a great opportunity to own performance outcomes in a collaborative environment.

Organisational Structure

Reporting directly to the Digital and CRM Marketing Manager, you will act as the key link between our internal creative teams and our external digital agency. This permanent full-time position is 100% onsite working from our Gold Coast office or Byron Bay Head Quarters working Monday to Friday, 8-4pm or 9-5pm - you choose!

A Day in the Life

  • Brief internal design and creative teams on copywriting, image selection, and audience building for upcoming marketing campaigns.
  • Coordinate directly with our external digital agency and platform partners like Meta and Google to review performance and align on best-practice guidelines.
  • Build new social campaigns and review automated bidding strategies to maintain a speed to market of less than 48 hours for new deals.
  • Implement A/B testing for creative templates and refine keyword optimisation across search platforms to minimise budget wastage.
  • Maintain live, product-level budget documentation and monitor performance dashboards to track campaign metrics.
  • Collaborate with video producers and editors to guide paid video strategy and test templates to improve view-through rates.

To be a Front Running Candidate

  • Minimum 3 years experience managing medium-to-large budget paid social campaigns on platforms such as Facebook and Instagram.
  • Hands-on experience utilising paid search platforms, including Google Ads, Bing Ads, or Search Ads 360.
  • A comprehensive understanding and experience utilising different digital media buying models such as CPC, CPM, CPB, and CPA.
  • Proven experience managing feed-based campaigns alongside a track record of successfully collaborating with external agencies or internal creative teams.
  • Experience leveraging data visualisation tools like Google Looker Studio, Power BI, or Tableau, alongside smart bidding or performance tools like Smartly or Kenshoo (Skai).
  • Familiarity with implementing tracking via Google Tag Manager and Facebook Pixel, driving paid video strategies, or working within the travel, e-commerce, or a related industry.
  • The successful candidate will be required to undergo a Qantas background check
