The new Light Rail connects Westmead to Carlingford via the Parramatta CBD and Camellia, spanning 12 kilometres and utilising state-of-the-art vehicles that delivers comfortable, user-friendly and high-performance services. By 2026, around 28,000 people will use Parramatta Light Rail every day and an estimated 130,000 people will be living within walking distance of light rail stops.
The role
Reporting to the Sourcing and Supply Chain Manager and based at our Depot at Camellia (Parramatta), the Inventory Officer is the primary material requisition planner and buyer for both Sydney and Parramatta Light Rail networks. Supporting the boarder Asset team this role is responsible for forecasting demand, raising purchase orders, supplier coordination and inventory optimisation. As part of your role, you will maintain supply chain master data in the Asset Information System.
What you bring
In addition to tertiary qualifications your background will include significant inventory management experience (heavy industry, maintenance, spare parts pref.) supported by your Asset Information Systems knowledge (EAM, AX, SAP or Maximo).
In addition you will be:
- A strong communicator with the ability to influence and collaborate across multiple stakeholders
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail and data accuracy
- Able to work autonomously while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships
- Continuous improvement focused, always looking for better ways of working
