Procurement Coordinator

JD Sports Australia & New Zealand

WHO WE ARE

Known best as the 'Undisputed King of Trainers', JD Sports reigns supreme as one of the biggest and best global Sports Fashion brands across footwear and apparel.

Founded in 1981 in Greater Manchester, UK, JD Group has achieved remarkable growth through rapid global expansion and is now one of the world's leading sports fashion retailers. With over 3,400 stores worldwide, this includes a rapidly expanding footprint across Australia, New Zealand and APAC.

We don’t follow the market - we define it. With continued growth across the region, new stores opening, existing stores evolving, and major brand partnerships continuing to grow, we're looking for a Procurement Coordinator to help bring our retail environments to life.

THE ROLE

Shape the Stores. Drive the Detail. Help Bring JD Sports to Life.

This is a newly created role within our APAC Procurement function - designed to support our continued expansion across Australia, New Zealand and Southeast Asia.

Reporting to the Head of Procurement APAC, you’ll play a critical role in bringing JD stores to life — coordinating the fixtures, fittings and equipment that shape every in-store experience.

This role sits at the intersection of procurement, project coordination and retail delivery, giving you exposure to large-scale store rollouts, international suppliers and cross-functional teams.

If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, love seeing projects come together, and want to build a career in procurement or retail development — this is your opportunity.

What You'll Be Doing

End-to-End Fixture Coordination

  • Manage fixture procurement for new store openings, refurbishments and upsizes across APAC

  • Review store layouts, fixture call-offs and Retail Procurement Schedules (RPS) to ensure accuracy before ordering

  • Act as a key “sense check” across design and commercial inputs, validating quantities, specifications and requirements

Delivery Management

  • Coordinate procurement timelines to ensure fixtures are ordered, manufactured, shipped and delivered on time

  • Track shipments and logistics across international suppliers (primarily China-based)

  • Support customs clearance, freight tracking and delivery scheduling aligned to store opening timelines

  • Assist in delivering shop-in-shop installations with global brand partners (Nike, adidas, On)

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Work closely with Design, Visual Merchandising, Commercial Operations and Project Management teams

  • Engage with regional and global teams across UK, Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines

  • Build strong supplier relationships and help drive procurement outcomes across multiple time zones

Ongoing Store Support

  • Manage fixture requests for existing stores including replacements, damages and upgrades

  • Forecast ongoing fixture requirements and support inventory planning

  • Oversee fixture variations across different store generations and formats

Systems & Process Management

  • Manage procurement tracking, forecasting and reporting through Excel and internal systems

  • Raise and manage purchase orders via JD’s global procurement platform

  • Track shipments through logistics tools and maintain visibility across all procurement activity

Commercial & Cost Awareness

  • Support CAPEX management by reviewing fixture costs against approved budgets

  • Assist in managing design changes while maintaining cost discipline

  • Identify opportunities to drive value through supplier and procurement decisions

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

You’re organised, detail-oriented and thrive in environments where things are constantly moving. You enjoy being across the detail, solving problems, and working with multiple stakeholders to make things happen.

Ideally you'll have

  • Experience in a coordination, procurement, administration or operations-focused role

  • Strong coordination, organisation and time management skills

  • High attention to detail, particularly in reviewing documentation and data

  • Confident communicator with the ability to work across teams and regions

  • Exposure to supplier management and purchase requisition processes

  • Experience maintaining records, tracking requests and managing data

  • Retail, procurement or visual merchandising experience (preferred but not essential)

  • Exposure to fixture procurement or store development activities (advantageous but not essential)
