Townsville Grammar School
Townsville Grammar School is one of the original Grammar Schools of Queensland. The Year 7-12 campus is located on the original site at North Ward. The School also operates two Junior School campuses, both offering Pre-Prep to Year 6, at Annandale and North Shore.
Townsville Grammar School is a co-educational, non-denominational School with a current enrolment of approximately 1400 students, including 120 boarders (7-12), of whom approximately 25 are international students.
As one of the eight original Grammar schools in Queensland, Townsville Grammar School was established in 1888 and has offered boarding since this time. The School has a long-standing reputation as the leading academic school in Northern Queensland, also offering the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme for Years 11 and 12.
We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable
OSHC Educators to join our team in delivering a high-quality Outside School Hours Care program. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about working with children and creating a safe, welcoming and engaging environment that supports their development and wellbeing.
These are casual positions and hours are available before and after school, with full-day shifts during Vacation Care and Pupil Free Days. Positions are available at both our Annandale and North Shore campuses.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in delivering programs aligned with the National Quality Standards and My Time, Our Place
- Supervise children and facilitate activities
- Support children’s safety, wellbeing, and individual needs
- Assist with food preparation, cleaning, and daily routines
- Contribute to program improvement and compliance requirements
- Follow all WHS, child protection, and centre policies
About You
- Genuine interest in working with children
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable, proactive, and professional
- Willingness to learn and develop in the sector
Requirements
- Paid Blue Card
- Relevant qualification in Education, Childcare, Community Services (or currently working towards)
- Current or willingness to obtain First Aid & CPR
- Ability to obtain a Child Protection Certificate and complete National Child Safety Training prior to commencement
