Who we’re looking for?

  • Proven experience in shopping centre management or a similar role.
  • Relevant qualifications in Property, Business, Retail Management, Facilities or a related discipline are desirable, or equivalent practical experience in shopping centre management.
  • Must hold a relevant Real Estate qualification.

The role

As Centre Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations, performance and presentation of 10 shopping centres across Tasmania. This includes regular visits to Hobart centres (monthly) and Launceston/Burnie (quarterly). You will manage issues as they arise while also planning and coordinating activities across multiple locations. You’ll work closely with contractors, stakeholders and internal teams to maintain strong standards across safety, finances and customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support onsite teams across operations, admin, reception and marketing to keep centres running smoothly.
  • Partner with Retail Managers to drive positive retailer engagement through strong relationships, improved trading performance and a collaborative centre environment.
  • Help drive momentum on complex centre challenges by taking ownership of issues, identifying priorities.
  • Manage centre finances, including expenses, reporting and rent arrears follow-up.
  • Handle incidents and escalations, working with landlords and stakeholders when needed.
  • Work with council, community stakeholders and other partners, taking ownership of challenges and driving practical solutions.
