Remuneration: $68,594 - $70,161 per annum + Annual leave loading + Superannuation

Requirements of the Role

Demonstrated experience in healthcare security or a high-risk environment is essential, with strong conflict resolution, communication, and leadership skills. Experience working within NSW Health or a similar setting is highly desirable.

Ability to backfill and act in the Security Manager role during periods of leave or absence, including managing team performance, coordinating operations, and liaising with executive stakeholders.

Daily Requirements

  • Coordinating and overseeing daily security operations across the facility
  • Responding to and managing incidents, including aggressive behaviour, clinical escalations, and emergency situations
  • Conducting regular patrols, risk assessments, and security audits
  • Liaising closely with clinical staff, management, patients, and external agencies such as NSW Police
  • Monitoring CCTV and access control systems to ensure safety and compliance
  • Preparing incident reports and maintaining accurate records in line with NSW Health policies
  • Providing on-the-job guidance, mentoring, and leadership to Security Officers
  • Assisting with the oversight of the Stores department, including supporting daily operations and ensuring appropriate security and stock handling practices

Ideal Candidate

  • NSW Licenced according to the Security Industry Act 1997 – Class 1A, current Senior First Aid Certificate.

  • Has current NSW Driver's Licence (P1 and P2 acceptable).

  • Ability to work in a disciplined team environment with minimum supervision, demonstrated leadership of a team, including ability to motivate, co-ordinate and supervise staff within a shift.

  • Demonstrated intermediate level computer operating skills e.g. through experience with contemporary electronic security alarm monitoring systems - access building control, CCTV surveillance, data entry, radio and paging systems, fire indication panels, de-escalation and aggression minimisation strategies.

  • Available to work Monday to Friday rotating on a weekly basis between 06:00-14:30, 07:30-16:00 & 14:30-23:00
