We’ve got an opportunity for a trade-qualified Electrical Fitter Mechanic (Electrical Maintainer) to join our Rockhampton Rollingstock Maintenance Workshop, working on a solid fleet with a strong pipeline of work and a team that looks after its own.

What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll be hands-on maintaining and upgrading our locomotive fleet, including
- Carrying out modifications on 1720 class locomotives
- Performing preventative maintenance, breakdown repairs and fault finding
- Supporting rollingstock refurbishments and reliability programs
- Working from drawings, specs and work instructions
- Commissioning, testing and getting equipment back into service safely
What We’re Looking For
We’re keen to hear from electricians who
- Have strong mechanical and electrical trade skills
- Can read drawings and follow technical instructions confidently
- Have experience with maintenance, breakdowns or heavy equipment such as rail, mining, transport or plant
- Take pride in safe, quality work
- Can work independently or as part of a solid crew
What’s On Offer
- $86,913 – $108,301 plus super and allowances
- 76-hour fortnight
- 12-month fixed-term role with potential extension
