Your impact
At Jacobs, we’re expanding our Geospatial Services capability to meet growing client demand and accelerate the delivery of innovative digital and data-driven solutions across Australia and the region. We are working across a diverse and exciting portfolio of projects spanning transport, resources, water and environmental sectors, partnering with clients to solve complex challenges through geospatial and digital innovation.
As a Geospatial Consultant, this role will support the delivery of a range of geospatial and digital solutions. Based in Brisbane , you will contribute to the delivery of geospatial projects while working closely with senior team members and clients. This role will also provide you with secondment opportunities within client offices, providing exposure to different environments and helping build strong, collaborative relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the planning, coordination and delivery of geospatial and digital projects, ensuring outcomes meet client requirements.
- Assist in building and maintaining positive client relationships, including responding to feedback and supporting client needs.
- Contribute to project delivery by applying geospatial and digital tools, with guidance from senior team members.
- Support the development and enhancement of geospatial products, services and delivery approaches.
- Work collaboratively within a supportive team environment, contributing to a positive and high-performing culture.
- Assist with commercial aspects of projects, including tracking progress and supporting efficient delivery.
- Contribute to the development of innovative and automated approaches to improve data analysis and management processes.
Here's what you'll need
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Geospatial Science, GIS, Spatial Analytics or a related discipline.
- Experience working with geospatial products, tools or services (i.e. ArcGIS Pro, Survey123, Field Maps, EIS etc.)
- Exposure to project delivery in a consulting, technical or client-focused environment. (*previous experience within a consultancy or utility environment will be advantageous.)
- An interest in applying innovative digital and geospatial solutions.
- A willingness to support business development activities and contribute to team initiatives.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively.
- A proactive and adaptable approach with a willingness to learn and develop.
