As Risk Initiatives Lead, you’ll support IAG’s Intermediated Insurance business, working across well known brands including CGU and WFI. This role has been created to close the gap between identified risks and meaningful action, bringing structure and pace to how we deliver improvement. You’ll lead risk input for key business initiatives from concept through to implementation and handover, ensuring risk is not just understood, but embedded into the way the business operates. This is a permanent full-time role based in multiple locations across Australia.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the end to end delivery of risk in change support for business initiatives, ensuring clear outcomes, strong governance and smooth transition into business as usual ownership.
  • Own the intake and prioritisation of initiatives, acting as the front door for risk support for change across the business.
  • Champion a compliance by design mindset, proactively aligning business initiatives with regulatory expectations.
  • Embed risk in change practices, ensuring operational risks are identified, assessed and actively managed throughout delivery.
  • Drive disciplined execution by managing milestones, dependencies, governance processes and handovers across complex initiatives.
  • Lead and support team members to deliver high quality outcomes, building capability and maintaining strong engagement.
  • Provide clear, timely reporting on progress, risks and outcomes to leadership and governance forums.

What You'll Bring

  • Strong people leadership capability, building high performing teams, supporting development and driving accountability and performance.
  • Ability to lead through change with clarity and momentum, while supporting team wellbeing in complex environments.
  • Experience managing delivered risk across programs, projects or business transformation environments.
  • A structured delivery mindset, with experience in project management or agile ways of working.
  • Solid understanding of operational risk frameworks, governance and regulatory expectations.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence across business, risk and delivery teams.
