The Dental Assistant Grade 1 has successfully completed a nationally recognised Dental Assisting Certificate course at Certificate Level III or qualifications deemed by the Ministry of Health to be equivalent. Unqualified but experienced dental assistants can be employed as Dental Assistants Grade 1. Such employees commence and remain on Grade 1 year 1 until they obtain formal qualifications through study or recognition of prior learning. The position undertakes dental assisting duties within Adult and Child Services.
This is a permanent full time (Monday to Friday) position located at the Nowra Dental Clinic.

- Applicable vaccination requirements for a Category A role.
- Working With Children Check (WWCC)
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant and/or successfully completion of a nationally recognised Dental Assisting Certificate course at Certificate Level III or qualifications deemed by the Ministry of Health to be equivalent
- Current NSW Drivers licence Class C (or equivalent) and ability and willingness to travel for work purposes. This may involve driving relatively long distances within the Local Health District.
