Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced

SAP Retail / SAP SD Lead to drive end-to-end solution design, implementation, and delivery across retail transformation programs. The role involves leading SAP SD (Sales & Distribution) and IS-Retail capabilities, ensuring alignment with business objectives, and managing cross-functional teams across large-scale implementations and rollouts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end SAP SD and Retail solution design, including Order-to-Cash (OTC), merchandising, and supply chain processes
  • Define architecture, integrations, and data migration strategies for SAP Retail programs
  • Drive global template design and rollout strategies across regions and market units
  • Provide expert guidance on SAP IS-Retail, SAP CAR, and retail-specific functionalities
  • Lead full lifecycle SAP implementations (Explore → Realize → Deploy → Hypercare)
  • Manage FIT-GAP analysis, business blueprinting, and solution configuration
  • Oversee testing phases (SIT, UAT) and ensure production readiness
  • Ensure high-quality delivery within timelines, budget, and scope
  • Engage with senior business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate into SAP solutions
  • Conduct workshops, design sessions, and steering discussions
  • Act as the primary functional SME for SAP SD & Retail
  • Lead and mentor a team of SAP functional consultants across SD and Retail modules
  • Manage onshore/offshore delivery models and cross-functional coordination
  • Ensure adherence to project standards, governance, and quality frameworks
  • Sales order management, pricing, billing, and delivery
  • Order-to-Cash (OTC) lifecycle and logistics execution
  • Drive integration with MM, FI, WM/EWM, and external systems
  • Merchandising, replenishment, and inventory management
  • SAP CAR / PMR / F&R (Forecast & Replenishment)
  • Recommend improvements to existing IT landscapes and business processes
  • Stay updated with SAP S/4HANA, SAP CAR, and emerging retail technologies
  • Identify automation opportunities and process optimization initiatives

Required Skills & Experience

  • 8–12+ years of SAP experience with strong expertise in SAP SD and Retail (IS-Retail)
  • Proven experience leading multiple SAP implementations or rollouts
  • Strong knowledge of OTC processes, pricing, billing, and logistics execution
  • SAP SD configuration (pricing, billing, delivery, master data)
  • SAP IS-Retail solutions and retail business processes
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA and SAP CAR / PMR / F&R is highly preferred
  • Strong integration knowledge across MM, FI, and external systems
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Ability to lead large, cross-functional teams
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making capabilities
  • Experience in client-facing consulting roles and workshop facilitation

Preferred Qualifications

  • SAP certification in SD / S/4HANA / Retail
  • Experience in global template rollouts and multi-country programs
  • Retail domain experience (e.g., grocery, fashion, e-commerce)
  • Experience in EWM, TM, POS, or eCommerce integrations
  • Exposure to Agile / DevOps delivery models
  • Knowledge of data migration tools and integration frameworks
