We are seeking an organised and proactive Programme Coordinator to support the delivery of significant justice sector programmes, including the establishment of a new firearms regulator.
This is an exciting opportunity to work at the centre of complex, high-profile programmes that will contribute to strengthening New Zealand's regulatory and oversight systems. Working alongside Programme and Project Managers and senior leaders, you will help coordinate programme activities, support governance and reporting processes, manage key programme documentation, and ensure workstreams remain aligned and on track.
This position is a 12-month fixed-term opportunity.
In This Role, You Will Be
- coordinating programme planning, scheduling, reporting, and administrative activities across multiple workstreams
- supporting governance forums through meeting coordination, agenda preparation, minute taking, and action tracking
- maintaining programme documentation, risk and issue registers, decision logs, and reporting artefacts
- monitoring milestones, dependencies, and deliverables to support successful programme delivery
- assisting with stakeholder coordination and communication activities
- working closely with project and programme teams to ensure information is accurate, timely, and accessible
- contributing to a positive, collaborative team environment focused on achieving programme outcomes.
Ō Pūkenga/Skills And Experience
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- experience providing coordination, administration, or project support within a programme, project, or public sector environment
- strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- excellent written and verbal communication skills
- experience preparing reports, meeting papers, minutes, and other programme documentation
- proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams
- strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
- the ability to build effective working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
- an understanding of government processes and public sector environments would be advantageous.

Utu ā-tau/Salary
The appointing salary for this role will be between $67,066 and $85,567 based on skills and experience.
