Supplier Relationship Management & Performance Specialist
Sense Recruitment
18 month contract
Some procurement roles are heavily transactional. This one sits at the intersection of supplier governance, risk, systems, reporting, stakeholder engagement, and continuous improvement.
Our client is looking for a commercially minded Supplier Governance & SRM Specialist to support the ongoing management and evolution of their Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) and Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) frameworks across a large and diverse supplier landscape.
Working within a high-performing procurement function, you’ll play a key role in leading end-to-end supplier lifecycle activities, maintaining supplier master data integrity, supporting procurement systems and dashboards, and helping the business make informed, data-driven decisions around supplier performance and governance.
This is not category management. It’s a specialist governance-focused role suited to someone who enjoys working across frameworks, data, systems, supplier processes, and stakeholder engagement in a complex operational environment.
The organisation is currently navigating significant change and transformation, so adaptability, curiosity, and the ability to think critically will be highly valued.
You’ll be involved in
- Supporting the implementation and continuous improvement of SRM and TPRM frameworks
- Managing supplier lifecycle activities including supplier registration, assessments, governance activities, and rationalisation
- Maintaining supplier master data integrity and governance compliance across more than 1,500 suppliers
- Delivering supplier performance reporting, procurement insights, and spend dashboard management
- Supporting procurement systems and process improvements, including platforms such as PRISM and similar procurement technologies
- Working closely with SRM Officers and business stakeholders to provide advisory support, training, and guidance
- Analysing supplier and procurement-related data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement
What they’re looking for
This role would suit someone with experience across Supplier Relationship Management, procurement governance, supplier lifecycle management, third-party risk, commercial governance, or procurement operations.
The client is open on industry background and understands transferable skills are important. They’re far more interested in someone who can navigate complexity, engage stakeholders effectively, understand governance frameworks, and bring a proactive, solutions-focused mindset to the role.
You’ll likely bring
- Experience working with SRM, supplier governance, procurement, or supplier master data processes
- Exposure to governance frameworks, third-party risk management, compliance, or controls
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills across internal teams and suppliers
- Experience with procurement systems such as SAP, Ariba, PRISM, or similar platforms
- Strong analytical and reporting capability with the ability to turn data into meaningful business insights
- Critical thinking skills and the ability to improve and elevate existing processes and frameworks
- A proactive, organised, and adaptable approach within changing environments
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys governance-led work, stakeholder engagement, systems and reporting, and making a genuine impact across supplier and procurement operations.
