Applications are sort to join the Medical Imaging Allied Health Assistant team at The Sutherland Hospital. Full time & part time positions are available for this 24/7 shift worker position.
Where you'll be working
As part of the Medical Imaging team you will be assisting with the transfer of patients to and from the department and patient transfers and duties within the department working in close collaboration with the Radiographers. The Hospital is centrally located and is close to shops and local beaches

Provide support to the Medical Imaging team in the delivery of health care services to patients under the direct supervision of a Medical Imaging Professional and consistent with South Eastern Sydney Local Health District policies, procedures and standards
To ensure the safety of patients and provide high quality patient care.
To work as part of a multidisciplinary team in a 24/7 rotating roster with strong and effective communication skills;
To work with independent initiative, undertake continuing professional development and maintain competency in all clinical tasks.
Selection Criteria
- Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance, or equivalent work experience and/or a willingness to work towards certification with the support of SESLHD.
- Proven interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Computer literacy or a willingness to learn
- Demonstrated ability to be self-directed and work with minimum supervision, to organise work priorities and manage time effectively
- Knowledge and understanding of Work Health and Safety legislation and principles.
- Ability to work varying shifts with varying start times, including rotating weekend shifts
- Ability and experience in manual handling activities such as pushing trolleys/beds, handling of patients and use of manual handling equipment
