About The Role

This innovative 10-bed residential program provides recovery-oriented, trauma-informed mental health support for young people aged 16–25 years who require an alternative to hospital admission or a supported transition from inpatient care back into the community.
Working within a 24/7 therapeutic environment, the Social Worker will form part of a multidisciplinary team delivering individual, family and group-based interventions that promote functional recovery, independence, wellbeing and meaningful community connection. The role contributes to comprehensive assessment, care planning and recovery-focused support, helping young people build confidence, strengthen daily living skills and achieve their personal recovery goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver discipline-specific social work interventions, including individual, family and group-based therapeutic support for young people accessing the YPARC service.
- Contribute to multidisciplinary assessment, treatment planning and recovery-oriented care that supports young people's mental health, wellbeing and functional recovery.
- Advocate for and address psychosocial needs including housing, education, employment, financial wellbeing, family relationships, social connection and community participation.
