As a Maintenance Officer, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the village remains safe, functional and well‑presented every day.

Your Opportunity

Full Time | Monday to Friday | Forestville (St David’s Village)

As a Maintenance Officer, you’ll be responsible for the day‑to‑day upkeep of the village — ensuring buildings, facilities and shared spaces are maintained to a high standard.

This is a hands‑on role suited to someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in their work and values being part of a community environment.

With a Proactive And Practical Approach, You Will

  • Complete general repairs (e.g. doors, locks, painting, minor roofing, gutter cleaning, basic concreting and gardening tasks)
  • Carry out preventative maintenance across village assets
  • Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner
  • Maintain tools and equipment in safe working condition
  • Keep accurate records of work and safety procedures
  • Support a clean, safe and welcoming environment for residents
  • Interact respectfully with residents, staff and contractors

What You’ll Bring

You’re reliable, hands‑on and take pride in delivering high‑quality work. You enjoy working independently while being part of a broader community team.

You Will Have

  • Experience in general maintenance or handyman work
  • Practical knowledge of tools, materials and maintenance tasks
  • Current NSW driver’s licence
  • Basic computer and iPhone skills
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach
  • Ability to manage your time and work independently
  • Commitment to safety and following procedures

Experience in retirement living, aged care or similar environments is highly regarded.
