About the role

Play a pivotal role in delivering operational training across the Public Transport Authority by coordinating learning and development activities, programs and projects. You will play a key role in ensuring training delivery is efficient, compliant and aligned with organisational requirements, with a strong focus on rail safeworking and operational training

Lead and support a team of Learning and Development Officers, providing coaching, direction and operational oversight to ensure high-quality administrative and coordination support. The role involves managing course scheduling, logistics, procurement processes, and record keeping, while ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory standards

You will also be responsible for reporting and data analysis, identifying opportunities for process improvement and supporting the ongoing development of systems and procedures. Working closely with internal stakeholders, external providers and contractors, you will contribute to the delivery of effective, compliant and high-performing learning and development services.

About You!

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Experience in coordinating learning and development programs, ideally within a complex or operational environment
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage, mentor and support a team
  • Well-developed communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Highly developed skills in the use of technology, including databases, spreadsheets, learning management systems and MS Office Suite

There is one permanent full-time opportunity available for an immediate start. Applicants assessed as suitable through this process may be used to fill similar vacancies both fixed term and permanent that may arise within the next 12 months.
