Events Officer

City of Tea Tree Gully

Reporting to the Lead Events, this position is responsible for supporting the planning, coordination and delivery of Council's Major Events and Activation program. With a strong administrative focus, the role provides comprehensive operational and stakeholder support, contributes to all areas of event communications and delivers safe, high quality events for everyone.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the planning, coordination and delivery of Council's Events and Activation program in accordance with approved plans and procedures.
  • Support the delivery of allocated events and activities to agreed timelines, budgets and quality standards.
  • Assist with the implementation of event marketing, communications and digital activities, including website and content updates.
  • Supervise and support contractors, suppliers, staff and volunteers during events, as directed, to ensure safe, efficient and well coordinated event operations.

About You

  • Demonstrated experience supporting the planning, coordination and delivery of events
  • Possess strong organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet competing deadlines
  • Well developed communication skills, both written and verbal, with a strong customer service focus
  • Hold and maintain a National Police Check
  • Must have a current DHS Working with Children check or the willingness to obtain one
  • Hold and maintain a valid DHS Vulnerable Person-Related Employment Screening
  • Hold and maintain a valid DHS Aged Care Sector Employment Screening
  • Hold a Class C Driver's Licence

Regular out-of-hours and weekend work will be required

Salary range is between $83,751 and $89,871 plus superannuation guarantee and will be negotiated commensurate with skills, experience and qualifications.
